We sat around a big black piece
of paper, and we spun ourselves a huge spider web!!
After we did our spider web, we
made our own spiders from black paper.... we made them into a
straw puppet or headband. Before we went to lunch, we acted out
the spider song..
5 little spiders went out
to play
On a spider web one day
They had such enormous fun
They invited another little spider
to come.
We also talked about spider
babies, and we made spiderlings out of balloons!
In language arts, we read
the story Anansi. We looked at how the illustrator created Anansi,
then made our own Anansi spiders.
