Our theme this month was Holidays
Around the World. We focused on Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanza.
Our field trip was to Hillsdale Mall to decorate a
Christmas Tree (check them out upstairs by Mervyns). After we
went to brunch at IHOP. We had great parent support for this trip.
Thanks to all the parents that came along.
We
also made gingerbread houses this month... they were adorable....

Hannukah
We played the dreidel game... it
was a little too difficult the traditional way, so we made up
our own rules!!
We also made and tasted latkes
and applesauce... most of us thought they were delicious!!
We made edible menorahs our
of celery, cream cheese, raisins, and pretzel sticks
Language
Arts
To go along with our pocket chart, we made
a mini book to take home and read to our families. We used stickers
on each page.. fun fun fun!
we played a fun matching game....
matching beginnig sounds to pictures
Math
We played a fun activity
called "over the top". We used different sized bags
and estimated how many scoops of macaroni it would take to fill
each bag until it spilled out over the top of the bag!
Crafts in december...

Gifts for our families....
We made wreaths out of glue, pretzels,
and glitter.... when they dried, our teachers put our photo in
the middle, and made them into ornaments...
